Bachmann Model Trains and Railroads

Collecting model trains has been a hobby for many people as long as they can remember. Some of the great collectible model trains would those made by Bachmann. Bachmann Model Trains, often spelled incorrectly as ‘Bachman model trains’, have been around for over 150 years, so most children have more than likely played with one of their model train sets. Some of the very old models may be worth a large amount of money, if the collector decided to sell one of them.

The Bachmann Model Trains, such as its Branchline product range, now offer a double O scale model. They also offer the N gauge models. Check out our Model Train Store for Bachmann products in all scale models.

The older Bachmann Model Trains which were manufactured before the wars will cost collectors a fair size amount of money; and the post war models will cost a little less. Some vintage model trains were manufactured before World War II. These models were made of metal, and there are many collectors which collect only these metal models. Model train enthusiasts believe that the quality of the construction and the materials which was used in the manufacture of the Bachmann Model Trains is far superior to any other model train manufacturer.

The Bachmann Model Trains from the post war era include such scale model train sets as the Santa Fe MDT Plymouth 0-6-0 Diesel Locomotive number 32. The locomotive as well as the entire train set comes fully assembled and are ready to run as soon as you get the tracks together. The Santa Fe Diesel Locomotive has geared drive wheels, an operating headlight, and a very detailed die cast frame. The body itself is molded from plastic which is painted in the original Santa Fe Locomotive.

Bachmann Model Trains also produce the Burlington Route MDT Plymouth 0-6-0 Diesel Locomotive, number 9280. This Bachmann Model is fully detailed in every way as its original counterpart. So are the Union Pacific GP-50 Diesel Locomotive, number 3258; and the Santa Fe GP50 Diesel Locomotive, number 8756; this locomotive is a narrow diesel, which is painted with a red front and silver rear. The sides are complete with walking aisles, and black grab railings. The side paneling is engraved to look like real doors. The roof itself is equipped with a non functional silver horn and circulating fan vents. The headlights are fully functional as well as the metal drive wheels.

All the Bachmann Model Trains Santa Fe series are from the N series scale of 1/160. They all will interact with the tracks from other N series Bachmann Model Trains and they are all covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty. They come packaged in protective Styrofoam, and instruction sheets. However, there are over 2000 Bachmann Model Trains to choose from.
